The folders retain certain IMAP features, one of which is the Delete button doesnt. This is the result of exporting an IMAP data file to a pst file or opening IMAP pst files in Outlook. If you are unable to delete only some emails (while others get deleted just fine), then your Outlook data file might be corrupted. The Delete key on the keyboard will delete messages, only the Delete button in the Home ribbon and the right-click menu for selected e-mail (s) is disabled. What option(s) do I have to get rid of this mailbox? Ideally I would like to not have this happen again in the future. Sometimes, emails can get stuck in your Inbox, Outlook or Sent Items folder and you are not allowed to move or delete them, while Outlook reports an unknown error. I do not haveĪccess to the Exchange server to make any edits. I do not have access to the registry on this machine, I do not have the ability to edit Active Directory attributes for the mailbox (although I do have the ability to run ADSI Edit (no permissions to make changes) and see the attributes. It does not show in the window where it should be, so I cannot select it to remove it. To reiterate - I have gone to Account Settings/Change/More settings/Advanced to try and remove this mailbox, but I hope this is clear enough that I do not get a bunch of responses suggesting that I remove the mailbox by doing what I have mentioned above. When I try to do the same steps again, I do not see this mailbox Now I wish to remove that mailbox from this profile. I have a shared group mailbox that I added to my profile by using the "Account Settings/Change/More settings/Advanced".
